What is your vision? Trust in your VSN.

The Fresh Jo

What is your VSN?

Some of us are still trying to figure this whole “purpose” thing out. We’re awaiting a moment for God’s will for our life to unfold with clarity so we can walk in it. If you’re anything like me, you’ve never really had a clear DREAM or an open vision to show you who you’d be or what you’d accomplish, but in the front of your mind you did always KNOW that you were called by God to impact and influence the people around you to magnify all that God is.

Because of your knowledge of your calling, you aren’t afraid that you are unsure of how you’ll execute your purpose which is to glorify God in the earth. You even encounter a series of events that reveals your strengths, gifts, weaknesses, and obligation to be fully dependent on God. In this life, we can’t do it without Him. I have no clue where I’d be.

Acts 2:17 (NIV)
17 In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.

I later found out in January 2019, through constant seeking and revelation that God called me to a vision through the church home (Word of Life Christian Center) that he called my family to in January 2013. The whole time I had been in search for God to show me my individual vision and thats exactly why I never got one. I failed to realize that the vision that God had for my life is the very vision that he gave to my man of God, my Apostle.

Through CONNECTION and REAL LEADERSHIP, I am now able to see, operate, and function in the vision of:

FUNCTIONING THE FRESHEST AND THE FLYEST, BUHLEE DAT. (oops, excuse my gangsta…my New Orleans come out when it comes down to this life in Christ.)

Commandment #5: Honor Thy Parents

The Fresh Jo

Commandment #5: Honor Thy Parentals

Exodus 20:12 NIV

“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.”

verb. regard with great respect.

"they honor their parents in all they did"

synonyms: hold in great respect, hold in high esteem, have a high regard for, esteem, respect, admire, defer to, look up to, think highly of;

Something very seldom talked about or done is focused and purposeful respect for our parents. We must get to a position of recognizing who they are as men and women that God has trusted to raise us up. Our perspectives of our parents will shift from just “moms” and “dads” to appointed individuals from God’s love for His plan. This will release favor because it’s done according God’s divine plan as The Father and Creator of us all. Sounds deep, huh? Or could it be that we’ve just kept our point of view way shallow? Let’s take it up higher.

Proverbs 20:7 MSG

God-loyal people, living honest lives,
make it much easier for their children.

So, Yes, Honor your parents. Let them know that you love them in a new way because you now have a better revelation of who they really are. And maybe they don’t even know… So, you changing your perspective will change theirs about themselves and also about you.

Once, we shift our perspectives on purpose, we’d then have a greater respect for the call on their lives as well as the call on our own. After all, they are the ones that teach us everything we know and all that we are. They are the example of God’s Love to us. Once, we recognize that we are ACTUALLY, REALLY sons and daughters of God, Our Father, trained up to be as Jesus, The Son, through the functioning of the Holy Spirit, it is then that we will understand that our parents are vessels used by God to bring creative legacy amongst the world. A certain order. A certain way. On purpose.

Our parents are not just the people that “brought you into this world, so they can take you out!” But the divine trainers that were chosen for you by God. and you for them, by God.

2018: TGIOver!

The Fresh Jo

This new year, I want to be more excellent! I want to do things on purpose and with purpose. I want to be who I really am, all the time without caring what others may say or think. This year, I will be vegan and STAY VEGAN (In Jesus Name) because it’s the lifestyle my body enjoys most! #listentoyourbody. And there’s a couple more…. What’s the new you looking like in 2019?!

TO: THE FRESH (Insert name)

For some of us when a new year comes around we’re either excited that its over or excited to add to what a great year it has been! And for me… I’m somewhere between the both of those!

This year has been one of pure strength and extravagant love! Many moments where I began to understand what it really meant for the joy of the Lord to be my strength (Nehemiah 8:10) and that nothing can separate us from the love of God (Romans 8:38).

Whether its been a great year or a tough one, continue to keep your head high, looking up to the sky, trusting the One who holds your world in His Hands. Everything that this life is will continue to unfold each moment that we are expecting great, #fresh things to happen! Don’t get frustrated with your process, it’s all apart of your divine plan!

Speaking of greater and #fresher, it’s RESOLUTION TIME! Yes, New Year Resolutions are still a thing and in the eyes of The Fresh Jo. I think it’s great to have awesome goals with the intent of accomplishing them as you grow into the #freshest version of yourself!
